A film about home made with heart.

This is a film about family brought together when things fall apart.  "Home" in this film is not a back-drop, it embodies the psyche of a family at a moment of profound change.  Our film embraces the reality and intimacy of time and place and celebrates the moments in which the mundane and mystical collide.

The film is based on an original script by Hilary Brougher.  In 2015 Hilary and Producer Susan Stover workshopped a short film, WAKE O WAKE  as a study for SOUTH MOUNTAIN. The short explored the thematics, tone and aesthetics of a small production using natural light. We were honored to share it with audiences at the Maine International Film Festival and the Woodstock International Film Festival.

Producer Kristin Frost and Executive Producer Jean Castelli completed our team and in the Summer of 2017 we completed principal photography in Upstate N.Y.  Photographed in real locations, with natural light, hand-held camera and a small crew, we are proud to have made a film with a small production footprint that resonates all the more deeply because of the intimacy of its making.

SOUTH MOUNTAIN is currently in post-production, for completion in Spring of 2018.
